Our poor ignored blog

Life being the crazy thing that it is, our family blog has been completely ignored. I read back through some of the posts and realized that I had intended to make blogging more of a priority. Then we went to Las Vegas for cheer, Jason broke his ankle, school ended, Jason started working in Seattle, Washington, the girls had a full and fun summer and now school has started again.

Starting over again on blogging, and hoping to keep up again. Let's see if I actually can do it this time :)

Valentine's Day

For Valentine's Day this year, we got the girls their traditional small stuffed animals, a cookie, a pencil and some Sweethearts. The dog got some Sweethearts too, but only because she stole them! Jason got a gorilla that was holding a heart. It said "Let's monkey around." Jason and the girls got me a dog with kisses all over. I wanted to name him Kisses, but Jason said he had already named him Rufus, so I went with that. We decided to have a heart shaped pizza for lunch and went to our favorite pizza place, Pier 49. I think that will become a new Valentine's Day tradition. We had a great time!

B'Elana's Birthday

B'Elana went and had a birthday and turned 9! She had been looking forward to her birthday for at least a month! I think she had a pretty good birthday. We got her some clothes just before her cheer pictures with Hazen. We also got her the Chef Duff (from Ace of Cakes) cake maker. Now we just need to remember to get batteries! She also got a craft kit so she can make window art. Of course we took treats to school. We got cupcakes from Harmon's and a couple of cupcakes from my friend that makes gluten free stuff for B'Elana's friend Zoie that can't eat gluten. After cheer we went to see our play at Desert Star. Jason kept telling her that we didn't have a chance to tell them it was her birthday. She believed him right up until the time they actually announced her birthday, LOL! And the announcer said her name correctly! That NEVER happens and she was pretty excited about that too :)

We are planning a big birthday blowout when we are done with cheer. Happy Birthday Baby Girl! We love you!

BRACES ARE OFF!!!

Deanna got her braces off today! She is so happy. She has been counting down on Facebook, she even created a ticker. Her smile is so beautiful and she has been using it all day long. Tomorrow she gets her retainer. We are hoping that she doesn't loose or break too many!

February

February is here and with it comes a birthday, a trip to Las Vegas, the Superbowl and a baby shower (for Kelsie who was Deanna's dance coach and B'Elana's cheer coach until last year). Almost forgot: Valentine's day! It's a little weird that it's on a Sunday this year, but it still should be fun. Bring on the busy-ness!

Fun times

During the winter break from school we went to a University of Utah Women's Basketball game. We got to sit where ever we wanted and found some great seats in the front row. Swoop (Utah mascot) came and visited us, and B'Elana was invited to be part of the halftime entertainment.

New Year's Resolutions....

I don't usually put too much stock in New Year's Resolutions, but I am going to make a couple of them this year.

1. I will complete one scrapbook page per day. (I joined a Facebook group to help me with this one)

2. I am going to make sure that my health and the health of my family is more of a priority this year.

3. I am going to keep up better on my blogging, LOL!!!
