Grandpa Bud Slagle passed away yesterday. He had heart surgery in January and had had many health problems since then.
He was the most wonderful man. He loved people unconditionally, but definitely spoke his mind. When Jason and I started dating, his grandparents accepted me with open arms. I always had to make sure to give him his hug when he saw me. Whenever we went to visit my girls would perform for him and he loved to see them do their dances. We will miss him terribly, but I know that he was not happy with all the time he'd spent in the hospital. And as hard as it will be for us, he's not hurting anymore.
